★★★★★ ‘a superhuman tide of rhyming prophecy, sharp social observation, cutting-edge feminist rage, exhilarating bursts of hen-night song, and superbly-handled audience participation’ - The Scotsman

★★★★★ ‘it’s terrific: a satirical, observant and imaginative ode to female friendship...Hannan weaves all that together with real wit.’ - The Stage

★★★★★ ‘Hannan’s writing manages to balance the slightly bonkers otherworldly plot line with awareness of emotional abuse and coercion beautifully. It’s a non-stop riot, but there’s also a clear message and some heartwarming moments between the hens’ - Broadway World

★★★★ ‘Hannan has achieved something remarkable…tapped into the invincible spirit of female friendship and all the rituals that go with it…In olden days some might have called it girl power.  - The Herald

★★★★ ‘The writing is sharp, funny and on point’ - Edinburgh Reviews
